My Story

My name is Janelle and I have been working with flowers for about 17 years. I found my love for flowers at a flower shop in Minneapolis, MN. I would spend hours arranging flowers and I soon realized that this was more than a hobby. I had found my passion in life. I moved to the Bay Area in 2007 and started taking floral classes at City College of San Francisco, where I got my floral certificate. When I am not busy with my own weddings and events, I am actively involved in the floral industry by collaborating with other wedding professionals and attending industry events. It is important to me to keep current, stay on top of new trends, and constantly search for new inspiration.  I love working with flowers, and I love incorporating new textures and colors into each and every design. I look forward to inspiring you with my designs.

Green Petal Designs is a floral and event design company that specializes in weddings and events. Green Petal Designs was started in 2011 to help people create, dream and learn about flowers. We will work with you to incorporate your vision into every design in a thoughtful and meaningful way.  Only quality flower and plant products will be used in our designs. We strive to be as sustainable as possible and we try to use local product from farms in the area. We area committed to providing you with designs that are natural, beautiful and inspired by the world around us.
